Born in 1953, Syvana Lorenz has been :
– The creator of an eponymous art gallery, located near the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris, from 1987 to 1996. For ten years, she devoted herself to introducing several French and international artists whose works of art are now esteemed in international auction rooms : Martin Kippenberger, Gerwald Rockenschaub, Heimo Zobernig, Steven Parrino, Mark Dion, Erwin Wurm, etc…
– Expert in Contemporary Art at Drouot’s auction rooms in Paris, from 1986 to 1991, she also started the first conceptual art sales in collaboration with Ghislain Mollet-Viéville.
– Professor of Contemporary Art at the Superior European Institute of Art (IESA), Paris, from 1991 to 1999.

From 1997 to the present she has been in charge of artistic communication for Pierre Cardin, in Paris.

Since 1994, by appearing on several television shows including those reserved for the Jet Set on Zone Interdite on M6, Sylvana Lorenz has found the way to communicate about Pierre Cardin through the media but also through the publication of her autobiography A nous deux, Paris! in 2003 (published by Flammarion) and the biography of Pierre Cardin (published by Calmann-Levy).
