Born in Kilkis in 1956, Elli Chrysidou studied at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Nancy. Elli Chrysidou succeeded at the end of a journey in time to free her work from the idealized melting of the alterities and managed to reach a painting, in some way liberating. The artist touches the full extent of the symbolic function of the color and of the dominant pattern in a series of works to the degree that we accept it. The weighty color, the often heart touching and kinesthetic impression of images-symbols find an echo in an ability to leave mind and body out of the representation of the world. Consequently, the image is not a simulation but a representation of the world.
