On the 8th of july 2004, Christian Depardieu opened a galery facing the Museum of Contemporary and modern art (MAMAC), dedicated to contemporary art, on 64th boulevard Risso Nice.

For 20 years Christian Depardieu has been in touch with the French and International art milieu. Facing a movement of standardization and networking of all cultures a few artists hold on to their differeces without realy being abe to portray them. It is therefore why the Galery Depardieu organizes 5 to 6 exhibitions per year to offer these strong personalities a, national and international space, in a cosmopolitain city like Nice where artists, famous or not, chose to live and work. The galerie choses to show a very electic choice of artists whço work with different material, painting, sculpture, photography video and installations.

In order to promote the acces to contemporary art, the galerie constantly organizes cultural interpretations of art dedicated to all types of publics. Artists meeting, conferences, musical manifestations, performances are also organized to urge the public into confronting contemporary art.
