![]() John Douglas, No Killing security |
« The Michaël More of photography »’s first exposition in Europe With for only finery his rifle M16, John Douglas seems this figures serie’s single subject. A real “one man army” while multiplying, armed until teeth. A succession of “table” who confront power to a ridiculous arm’s impotence. A questioning on polarity every time most large in US politic and in social aptitudes. Homeland Security (1) is a sardonic critic of the actual foreign military preventive American politic. Go it alone is a delirious portrait of soldier citizen defending the stereotypes of his native habitat : caravan, lawn, coffin covered with flag, maritime access… and, what freezes more blood, the fact of being stoically sitted in front of the TV, in a darkness stopped by its cyclopean light intermittent.
