Laurent Therese was born in Nice, where he lives and works. After studying Ancient History at Sophia-Antipolis University, he discovered photography on his return from his first trip to the Middle East.
His first series, ‘Urban Western’, inspired by the world of John Ford, attracted attention at Arles in 2009. In parallel with this series, he began work on the coastline of the French and Italian Riviera, with the aim of showing the other side of the Riviera, that of a less glamorous and touristy reality.
