“In a constant challenge of shapes and colours, Bartist believes in the power of painting to arouse sensations other than the simple visual recognition of what is represented on the canvas. His paintings evoke musical scores, eliciting sonorities while translating visual chords.
In a hybrid style, Bartist brings us face to face with multiple trans-temporal geographies, proposing the discovery of life through a complexity of sounds and emotions. His work achieves a degree of universal perception: music and emotions, little pieces that contradict the ephemeral nature of all the things of which our days are made.
As a visual artist, he confronts the viewer with the need to enter the work, to actively engage with it and experience its pulse in a combination of all the senses. It is an interactive painting, not because it invites the public to participate by creating new meanings through the images, but because it invites them to plunge into the work in order to establish new feelings.
Drawing on his deepest emotions, Bartist uses his painting as he once used his flute: the connection with his feelings and emotions expressed freely, in intuitive and raw form, now materialised in colours, blacks, textures, lines and gestures to reach the audience’s deepest emotions.”
